EverSmart™ Rodent approach ‘will become standard equipment’ for industry
By Michael Moran
PHILADELPHIA – Microshare’s EverSmart™ Rodent technology and its quest to digitally transform the $36 billion global Pest Control industry were spotlighted in a two-part series in the industry’s leading trade journal, Pest Control Technology, in late February and March, with Microshare Advisory Board Member Dr. Bobby Corrigan, featured in a Q&A about the future of remoting monitoring technology that comprises Part II of the series, predicted that EverSmart™ Rodent and other electronic monitoring systems (ERM) “will become standard equipment for all pest professionals who are committed to providing quality service. It’ll be expected, not just a luxury, to have the latest rodent management technology as part of every pest control toolkit.”
Corrigan, perhaps the industry’s leading influencer and scientist, is a rodentologist with decades of experience evangelizing for the use of remote monitoring technology as part of a 21st century approach to rodent control known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM). He joined the Microshare Advisory Board last year and plays an active role in helping shape the evolution of the EverSmart™ Rodent product. Over 100,000 EverSmart™ sensors are now deployed globally and that number grows daily.

Earlier, in the first part of the series, Microshare Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Charles Paumelle extolled the value of a software-first approach to remote monitoring after a decade or so of companies turning out substandard hardware efforts. “Our secret sauce is more about the software,” said Paumelle. “We provide learning from what’s going on in the real world. Big data is able to communicate patterns and anticipate, rather than just being reactive. Through collective learning, PMPs get a better solution.”
PCT, as Pest Control Technology magazine is referred to in the industry, is the leading trade journal of Pest Control Operators (PCOs) and Pest Control Professionals (PCPs) globally, which approximately 30,000 subscribers and a far larger casual audience. Worth noting: the articles below are traditional, reported journalism and not the “pay-to-play” dross that has so cheapened the information ecosystem. Put more simply: Microshare did not pay anyone to say these things.
