Veteran Microsoft Leader Kinzer to Lead Strategic Operations at Microshare

Barney KinzerDecember 12, 2019 – PHILADELPHIA – With demand for its aggregated IoT data offering exploding globally, Microshare® Inc. on Monday announced that veteran Microsoft real estate, M&A and change management leader Barney Kinzer would join the Philadelphia-based data solutions company as Director of Strategic Operations.

Kinzer, an Integration Director with Microsoft’s M&A Venture Integration group, spent 22 years at Microsoft and has also held senior leadership roles in Microsoft’s corporate real estate & facilities group, including global M&A real estate integration practice leader, Puget Sound Portfolio and Campus Planning leader, and head of real estate planning and delivery for Microsoft’s field portfolio across the Americas.

During his Microsoft corporate real estate tenure, Kinzer led teams responsible for supply/demand and occupancy planning for the Puget Sound campus which at the time was 10M square feet across 100+ buildings; planning, transactions, and construction for the North and South America field portfolio of 4M square feet across 140 sites; and planning, transactions, construction, and facilities management for the Eastern US Regional portfolio of 1.4M square feet across 45 sites. During his M&A tenure, he led the complex separation and transition program when Microsoft sold the Mediaroom global business to Ericsson in 2013, the Nokia India integration in 2014, and due diligence and post-merger integration for 25 other M&A transactions over 9 years.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Barney spent seven years with Xerox in corporate real estate and corporate finance. He earned a B.S. in Finance and an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from Penn State. He holds a CoreNet Global Senior Leader in Corporate Real Estate (SLCR) designation
